Q. How do I make an appointment.
A. Call 213-482-1046 to make an appointment. New patients may be asked to provide new patient information at the time of the call so be prepared with your referring doctor information, your health insurance information and reason for referral. Returning patients for follow up may see either the Doctor or physician assistant, both can provide comprehensive care and address your medical issues or you can request an appointment with the Psychologist or Biofeedback Tech at your convenience. There appointment generally are hourly.
Q. What type of treatment can I expect on the first office visit or consultation?
A. Generally, your first visit is a consultation where we learn about you, your health and your particular condition. Additional testing or a request of medical records made be obtained. Therapeutic injections generally are not performed at the time of the first appointment as they may require laboratory studies, you to be fasting, etc...
Q. What do I do if I feel I have an emergency after hours?
A. If you are having a true emergency please call 911. There is an answering service that will contact the doctor but only for true emergencies. For example, a reaction to medication. Please do not call after hours to leave a message if you have run out of your
Q. What do I do if I need medications or run out?
A. It is best to schedule an appointment to obtain refills in advance so as not to run out. As a patient you have the responsibility of monitoring your medication usage and to take it only as prescribed. Calling in medications or faxing medication requests are strongly discouraged. If a controlled substance is provided this prescription is filled only in the office, there are no exceptions.
Q. What if I can not come to a scheduled appointment or I am late?
A. The office does have a No Show Policy. We are holding a period of time for the doctor to see you. A period of time that someone else can use if given sufficient warning that you may not be able to come to your appointment. This office requires no less than 24 hours notice for cancellations. No shows fees can be billed at a rate of $25.00 per no show. Multiple no shows may result in my dismal and subsequent referral to another provider if the behavior is persistent and disrupts the continuity of care being provided. Arriving late to your appointment is discouraged and may need to be reschedule. Please call in advance if late arrivals can be accommodated.

General Information:
Because we are a pain practice we request that if accepted as a patient that you obtain your pain medications from no other physician, you attend all your scheduled appointments, you go to one pharmacy and you take your medications only as prescribed. Lost, stolen, or medications taken other than prescribed will not be replaced. Periodic urine drug screening may be performed on a case by base basis.
